Patio weed killer

Anybody got any good tips for keeping a patio clean and or weed killing between the slabs?

We have just put in a new lawn and the wind has blown grass seed all over the patio, surprise surprise the grass is growing on the patio between the slabs better than on the lawn!

The best thing to do is scrape them out with a sharp implement.
Then when they are all out get some dry cement and sweep it into all the cracks, then a bit of rain/water and it'll set nice, no more weeds.
I did it between the cracks in my slabs, much easier than weeding every 5 minutes

I learnt a way of getting rid of weeds on this forum.

Put normal table salt down where you don't want the weeds then pour boiling water over the salt, take care not to put it anywhere you might one day want to grow plants/flowers as this method makes the soil infertile.
When i done this last year i noticed it takes a while to take hold of the weeds that are already there but it really does work and i haven't had to use any weed killer since the salt and boiling water method :A:T.

my dad generally does it , as he has a weed killing liecense thingy. but i've found boiling water works really well.

but digging out and using fresh cement is great for a long term soloution

as this has dropped down the OS board ive moved it to greenfingered to see if you can get some more ideas
