I need a door & frame fitting, idea on price please

Hi, I live in an end terrace & the door from the pavement goes onto my side path (return?) not into the house.
The door & frame needs replacing, any idea what sort of price I'd be looking at. Fit only as I hopefully have a frame & door that can be used, may need faffing with a bit more than a new one but more in keeping then a new one.
Also other than personal recommendations, I don't have anyone I can ask, how best to find someone reliable.

Is it a pvc door, if so they are a doddle to fit, just lock it shut with the key, check its all level, pack all gaps with spacers, not over tight, expanding foam the gaps , leave to dry and open the door and drill it in to the wall and floor, clean excess foam and render and seal.
A door fitter will want an arm and a leg to fit your own door, as thats where the profit is, in supplying the door.

No I don't want a UPVC door as it only goes onto the garden path. I can't even lift the one I've got on my own, so not something that I can d.i.y unfortunately. The one that's there now is rotten & the locks broken so it needs replacing asap.
The only arm & leg I have is needed, may have to empty the contents of the shed into the house so that I can at least go out. Shed's rotten too so that can't be secured.
Home ownership is pretty rubbish really.

Allow a day to fit a door and frame. So whatever your local chippy charges for a day plus consumables such as frame fixings.
