Worth switching now if planning to move house within 12 months?

Hi

Would appreciate a little advice please having never switched energy suppliers (or moved house!) before. I would like to think that we will be in a different property within the next 12 months. Is it worth switching my energy suppliers now and trying to price fix or would a change of address be likely to trigger a charge for breaking/ending a contract?

Thanks in advance

    Hey

to be honest there not any termination fees offered by suppliers if you out when on a fix or capped tariff.

My advise would be to fix and when you do move out ask your supplier to continue at your new house on your current fix or capped package - they can do this for...

    Hope this helps

The top cheapest energy suppliers have termination fees for their variable price tariffs (can't comment on fixed/capped) however these don't apply for any tariff when you move house so switch away.

Switch .now Why spend another year on Standard tariff (which is what you are on if you've never switched, and is the most expensive variable tariff). Even if you don't fix, any variable discount tariff will save you at least 6%.
