Help Redundancy

Hi, A few months ago it was decided by management that I would be made redundant. They have recently interviewed new people for my job. The management have realised that it will cost them a lot of money in pension and redundancy money around £30,000 to get rid of me and are now panicking and trying to re-deploy me elsewhere so they do not have to pay up. So far they have only offered me a job which pays £5000 less, and is of a much less standard of job.
I understand they are only allowed to re-deploy me in a similar paying, similar standard of job.
They were already going through the redundancy route, they did not think it out and now they are trying to do whatever they can to keep me there. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks.

people are not made redundant - positions are made redundant.
Why are they recruiting to replace you, if your position is redundant...0 -
