Pashmina Bazaar, has anyone else bought anything from them

I recently ordered some shawls, from this company through a promotion in the Yorkshire Post. When they arrived one was the wrong colour. I was going to return it but could find no return note or any contact details other than a name and a po box number, when I tried directory enquiries they had no phone number for them.
However my daughter liked the shawl so I gave it to her. Foolishly I then ordered something else from the leaflet they had enclosed, this has just arrived today and guess what? Thats right, wrong colour. I don't know wether to simply post it back to them with a letter, recorded delivery of course. Or to write to them first and ask for a pre paid envelope, or a guarantee that they will refund my postage as they are at fault. Its not a huge amount of money but it's the principle and the thought that they perhaps reley on the fact that people find it too much of a hassle to send things back.

Look at the Yorkshire Post again, they may have a contact there re advertisers.
  • Hi, I have also ordered goods from Pashmina Bazaar. I replied to a promotion in a woman's magazine. I too was disappointed with the goods I received. I ordered 2 Pashminas and was not happy with the quality and I thought the colours were not as shown in the promotion either. I wanted to send mine backtoo, but like you I couldn't any returns details only a P.O.Box. I googled "Pashmina Bazaar" and the only reference I could find was to your posting on this site. I am reluctant to spend more money sending them back as I could end up even more out of pocket, so I will just cut my losses and mark it down to experience, but I suppose that is what they hope everyone will do.

  • Hi,

I was very sorry to hear you have had problems with your pashmina.

    Please send your details to:
    Pashmina Bazaar
    PO BOX 194
    Stowmarket
    IP14 6WW

I will refund you in full or full replacement.

    Many thanks.
  • all the Pasminas I have are dry-clean only, they would get ruined in the wash.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

  • I take your above points but I must say that I have been verry impressed with Pashmina Bazaar. I and many other friends of mine have ordered from them and they have been delivered very quickly with the correct colours and the quality was excellent.

I guess sending so many products out by post there will always be the odd mistake here and there. It looks though from the post above that the company have taken steps to resolve the posts on here with a reply so that is good, some other companies would not even bother.

well done jillyx for responding to this and supplying details of how to get refunds.
Hopefully, the 3 posters who've ordered from this company will come back and let us know how they got on.

if I was a cynic, I'd be really suspicious of you popping up to let us know that you and many (?) of your friends are absolutely satisfied with this company.

Ditto Pollycat, it looks suspicious doesn't it?
  • Guy's, you are indeed being very cynical just because I posted a positive reply that differed from the rest you deem it to be strange

Oh well, I suppose if I was also cynical, one could assume that you may possibly be forum trolls.;)

Well you see, platinum1, Antispam and I post regularly on a number of different forums on this website.

    You?
Ah yes, just the couple of posts here on the subject of how satisfied you and many of your friends are with Pashmina Bazaar.

If I was cynical before, I'm doubly so now.

And, before you start applying the description of 'troll' to me, read up exactly what that is.

It's a shame we haven't had any feedback from the 3 posters who were unhappy about their pashminas.
