Whats best time and day to do Xmas shop?

Hello,

Another point to be aware of is that only yesterday i was at my local Morrisons with a view to buying Christams goodies however it was a fruitless task as a lot of the merchandise had "use by" dates well before Dec 25th.

These included boxes of Mince Pies,creams,cakes,etc.:eek:

I normally do my shop on the Wednesday before Christmas stocking up with everything I need, then I send OH on Christmas Eve to pick up any bargains. He doesn't mind if it's packed when he's on a bargain hunt and it gets him out from under my feet for a few hours!

I think it doesn't really matter what time of day (or night!) you go as long as you remember that it's not the end of the world if you don't buy everything you think you desperately need and that the shops will only be shut for two days. Oh and bring a sense of humour along with you.
