I would open up a basic account elsewhere just in case,if Santander take it over it will be time to jump ship,if you are able to move branches all well and good.

By opening an account elsewhere you will be able to transfer accounts to them if it all turns bad,you will also be able to say truthfully that you have been with the bank 2+ years when applying for credit.

From both Customer/Staff point of view I gather - I don't think the National Australia Bank are too bad and who knows about Virgin Money if they get in to offer it's own products/service as all they are really doing atm is just using 3rd parties like MBNA.

I guess it's not as bad as the RBS/NatWest deal where Santander are taking over - What did all the customers & staff do to deserve the devil of banking?

I god don't know how on earth they retain a banking licence!

If you click on the link in my post above, it gives details for staff as to what is happening in a very candid manner! I think it is related to their Union. It also gives details of everything they are selling off.
