Scottish Power Capped - Leave, stay, adjust?

I have been with Scottich Power for about 3-4 years.
I then changed to a capped price.
My latest is a September 2011 Capped.
Reading about the price increase has left me confused in what I should do.
If I stay on the one I'm on will I get offered another capped deal in September but with the added price increase?
Can I drop out of the one I'm in with Scottish Power and pick another capped deal of theirs that doesn't leave me hanging until September?
Should I stay away form Scottish Power?
Should I just pick he cheapest on a price comparison website?
How long should I cap for?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Personal opinion only - pay the 50 cancellation fee and then go hunt for a long term fixed rate deal before they pull the best rates. I reckon prices are going up every year for some time due to the extra costs incurred on utility companies to "be greener".
PS - just seen a post that reminds me you can get cash back on some switching sites which would refund a good whack of your £50.0
