Title Change

I wish ebay would get their act together. You can change almost everything on BIN except the title. As far as I know the only way to do that is to close down the item and then relist it as a new item. This way you loose all the previous sales information ie sold 200 stock 800. This is a handy tool for me so I am reluctant to end a product just to relist with a different title. Does anyone know of any way around this?

No, never found one, you can add a subtitle that you can continuously edit throughout the listing, doesn't end up being searchable though.
I sort of get why you can't edit the title after a sale, it does seem like it would be open to abuse.

couldn't you completely change your item if you could change this? so you could imply that you've sold 800 of something when in fact you have sold 800 of something different

sorry I know that doesn't help you resolve your issue

All I want to do is add a few extra words on titles that only have a few anyway.

Exactly - thats why they don't allow it.

Myyrrddyn - it is VERY frustrating! I have long running GTC listings that I set up over a year ago when I was very new to business selling. I would love to be able to tweak those titles now!

I put some of these on years ago and since then they have been updated slightly with better graphics on the product.
I only want to add updated on the heading, I have done so on the subtitle page and on the advert.
I know subtitles are free this month, but when this offer finishes I don't want to pay for this service for over 100 listings.

You might want to check your fees! I was going to add subtitles to all my GTC's this month but when I was working through the first one it showed that it was going to charge a subtitle fee for adding it. I think the free subtitles are for new listings only. If you didn't get charged then let me know as I will look at adding them again.

Now then I didn't check that. Better look at the T&C on the offer again

I had the same problem, I had several listings that I had made a slight error in the title of, but could not alter it, so had to cancel and relist. Main pai, apart from the extra listing fees, was I lost the watchers that the items had.
