Eight unique houses set in Cumbria's magnificent landscape: Blackwell, Dalemain, Holker Hall, Hutton in the Forest, Levens Hall, Mirehouse, Muncaster Castle and Rydal Mount. All the houses are privately owned and most are still much loved family homes, a visit will reveal the legacy left by generations of owners.
Each property is unique, some are architectural icons, some have award-winning gardens, some unique literary connections - all have an interesting tale or two.
Prize is a pair of tickets to each of the eight Lake District Historic Houses & Gardens. All entrants must by 18 years old or over. A winner will be drawn at random. No correspondence entered into. No cash alternative offered. The closing date is 30th June 2011. Tickets are not valid for entry to special events.
