Prize:
The prize is a trip for the winner and one (1) companion to South Africa for a safari holiday. The prize must be booked and completed by 31 July 2012 and may not be taken up during blackout dates including dates between 1 December 2011 and 10 January 2012 inclusive and any other date or dates as may be specified by the prize provider and/or the organiser of the prize. The prize includes return economy class flights from London Gatwick airport or Heathrow airport depending on the date the winner chooses to take up the prize to Johannesburg in South Africa, shared return transfers between Johannesburg airport and the hotel and between the hotel in Johannesburg and the safari location, three (3) nights hotel accommodation on a room-only basis and based on two people sharing a twin or double room accommodation, three (3) nights safari lodge on a half-board basis (which includes two meals per day, subject to some excluded meals, during the safari experience), and four (4) safari game drives based on the available approved safari schedule and subject to availability during the dates the winner chooses to take up the prize. The prize also includes a UK bank transfer or cheque for £1,000 (one thousand pounds sterling) made payable in the name of the winner only and standard travel insurance for eligible travellers between ages 5 and 65 to cover medical expenses and luggage subject to limitation and exclusions, including without limitation pre-existing medical conditions. The prize excludes ground transfers in the UK, additional meals and drinks not included in the prize, additional excursions, attractions, treatments, car hire, personal expenses, visas and vaccinations. Vaccinations are highly recommended when taking up the prize.
Prior to taking up the prize, it is the responsibility of the winner to (i) ensure that they and their companion hold a UK or EU passport which is valid for at least 6 months from the date of their return to the UK after taking up the prize and which contains at least two (2) blank pages; (ii) ensure that the travelling party checks with their GP or a health professional that all vaccinations are up to date including without limitation anti-malarial tablets/malaria prophylaxis (please note that malaria is endemic in the areas where the travelling party will visit when taking up the prize) and yellow fever (where the travelling party has previously visited a country under a yellow fever warning, the winner must ensure that the travelling party has a yellow fever certificate issued at least 10 days before arrival in South Africa); (iii) organize and pay for any relevant visa application costs for the travelling party; and (iv) ensure that the travelling party adheres to the travel itinerary and other relevant safety instructions as set out by the prize provider. It is the responsibility of the winner to verify whether any prior and/or pending criminal conviction for they and/or their companion will adversely affect their eligibility to take up the prize. Ineligibility may result in forfeiture of the prize.
The winner’s companion must be 5 years old or older. Where the winner’s companion is aged under 18 years old, they must have prior parental or guardian permission and must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over when taking up the prize. The prize is subject to availability and restrictions, including but not limited to health and safety restrictions, and to applicable terms and conditions of the prize provider and/or the organizer of the prize.0 -
