Hi,
Am rushed off my feet so haven't had a chance to search to see if this has already been mentioned in another thread - apologies if it has!
I have just applied to Barclays for my statements to try and claw back some of the charges I incurred after Uni, but being a tight fisted Yorkshireman I deleted the bit in Martins letter about enclosing a chq for £10 and thought I'd chance my arm.
Anyway, got a letter back yesterday confirming they would be actioning my request and that they would be making no charge for this service. It seems to me that for the sake of a one or two week delay it might be worth not sending any money up front as you may just get away with it for free....and I doubt Barclays (or any other bank for that matter) would return your chq if you do send one!
Good luck

I stand corrected then. Like I said I didn't have time to search the forums but thought I'd post it ASAP to try and save someone some money.FB :heartpuls Wiggly
