Just switched to Scottish Power

Uh oh. Doh. I just switched to Scottish Power. Not on a fixed tariff either. What's my options? Can I change to someone else right now and get a fixed tariff before they stick their prices up?

    That depends on what "just" means -- if you are still within the 12 day "cooling off" period, you can stop the switch. If not, you would have to do a new switch from SP, which could come with early termination charges (depending on your contract).

    If the switch has only just been initiated by yourself, you have a 'cooling off' period of around 10 days from when SP send you the info pack. If so, just call them and cancel the switch!

    If you've already switched, then switch again.. I don't think there would be any exit fees, but you'll need to check that.
