Laying limestone slabs over concrete slabs?

So, I have a dreary patio of about 4mx3m laid using large concrete slabs.
Could I source some thin (say 10-15mm) limestone slabs and just lay these on top, maybe with special adhesive. There's no problem about coming above the DPC.

Don't see why not, assuming the existing slabs are level and solid. And as you say, assuming the increased height won't be an issue. The only think to think about, will the water be able to drain away OK ? I'd be tempted to lay, at the least, a decent bed of sand ( or sand & cement ) between the two layers, to cushion the new slabs and prevent them cracking when walked on.0
