The usual Tesco trick - never knowingly underselling itself. Hike the price a bit from what it would have been, and just throw in a few points to make it look worth buying. Anyone remember Green Shield stamps?0

I can't see any of the items listed so far comparing with Asda. Checked the cheesecake (not stocked) and the Pyrex (not stocked). The rest are Tesco own labels0 -

Why would they be loons? Tripling up the points for clubcard vouchers makes the product in effect free and if it's something that could be sold on at a carboot then you're making a tidy profit
As it's a loony thing to do.
Ever heard the beef in gravy holiday in new zealand story? That was me.
I know from experience it was a loony thing to do, spending life driving round all the Tesco's in the area for a week, then taking the food to the homeless shelter each evening. VERY worth it, but still loony.
I only did it as we had a holiday budget ready to spend to go to New Zealand and IN REAL SPEND, the holiday cost a quarter of the cheapest price I'd found. Even if you can sell on at a car boot, you'll never get back the actual price you paid. Nothing in the clubcard economy is free, just reduced.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
