I'm going to make the poisson recipe (although with a jointed chicken- lots cheaper and less bones) for NYE. I like the idea of the couscous as well, no messing round with boiling pans of spuds or pans of oil from roast spuds. Ill serve it with a salad.0

If you did it so that the chocolate sealed in the peanut butter part, i would have thought they'd keep in a box in the fridge for quite some time. A week or so.. the chocolate would be the problematic part - see what it says on the back of the packet of melting chocolate?

I love her too.....
however, I think she has become a caricature of herself...she was NEVER quite as suggestive as she is this series...it's hilarious, makes me laugh out loud, and I still love her recipes....
I want to do the gravadlax from last week.

I had a friend over for a meal last night, and I made this clementine cake for afters. I have to say, it was divine. I served it still slightly warm from the oven, with a dollop of creme fraiche. I can't believe how simple it was to make, and it will definitely be going into my list of 'regulars'. Try it if you don't believe me!Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

I really like reading Nigella's writing ( almost as much as the recipes ) and this book is good for that. There are some lovely sounding recipes but to be honest I found the results to be a bit hit and miss, some turned out really well and others were definitely not so good! ( About 50:50 with the ones I've tried from it ). I remember quite soon after I'd got the book it was reviewed in the Good Food magazine ( ages ago ) and they said the same. I much prefer the "How to Eat" and "Feast" books, I don't know whether it's because I prefer savoury things and there are more of these recipes in these two books, or if it's because the accuracy of ingredients, temperature etc matter much more when it's baking you are doing.0

Back to the clementine cake - in the recipe online it says "Dump the clementines - skins, pith, fruit and all - and give a quick blitz".
I take it she means dump them in the food processor???0
