My apologies but I didn't know which section to post this for the best.

I have some domain names (they are of a legal nature) I would like to advertise for rent. Does anyone know any websites where I could do this where someone might be interested in renting them?

Some of the domain suppliers allow you to offer names for sale, but I've never seen them rented.

Ideally I would like to rent out my domain names to a business or company in the fields of business they relate to instead of selling or parking them.

As they are of a legal nature I could put an advert in the Law Society Gazette mag but I am sure it will be very expensive to do that hence why I was wondering if there was another way.

I've now found what I was looking for. You can rent/lease them out. I've found a forum for it and I've come across people who are already renting them. I've also been shown where to get legal agreements for it as well. Now I just need to get a customer!

Perhaps if you could be bothered, since you asked us, what is the answer.

yes let us into this secret

10+ years in the hosing business i have never come across anywhere that allows you to rent domains as a domain is registered in your name and cannot be changed

I would certainly never rent a domain, and anyone that does is crazy in my opinion - they put their business image in the hands of a third party and are beholden to them forever, and can be held to ransom.

Of course, by renting out a domain, you put yourself entirely at the mercy of the people who then use it.

If they stick child !!!!!! on their - YOU go to jail, as you are the registered holder of the domain.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that
