Small Claim Judgement

Options
Today, I have been succesful in small court claims court; the defendent is going to make me an offer of payment by instalments.
I have no desire to meet with the defendent or his representatives to receive the payment.
What method of payment would the guys on here find acceptable and secure?

A cheque provides an easy audit trail to follow.

Or perhaps a BACS transfer in to a savings account.

I would suggest he pay by BACS into an account in your name - but as o4u suggests this can be an account other than your main bank account. You could open a basic or savings account for the sole purpose of receving his payments.

Cheques are being phased out and if he has just been sued by you chances are his credit rating won't allow him a chequebook anyway :p

Why not let him pay the court - then they pass it on to you.

Well done with the judgement. As jonesMUFC says, make him pay the court however, ensure any court costs/charges to be met by him.
