Holidays 2006

When is the best time to book a long haul holiday for April 2006?

Current fave destination is Mauritius, but keeping an open mind on similar locations.

Thanks for the link - will book mark it.

I'd been looking on Virgin Holidays. The 2006 dates are up, but it couldn't find any flights. That must not have released the flights yet

Becs, you're a lucky lady. Heard very good reports about Mauritius. My friends went half board and said it was expensive for a bottle of wine etc. ( no problem if you're not a drinker)
Its been on my list for a while. Enjoy ( not a honeymoon is it?)

Sorry to be thick guys, what's TMB?

Anyway, about the holidays, I was told by Mercury yesterday that if you want school holidays, best prices available 11 months in advance. Beyond that it's a bit of a gamble between book early discounts, and last minute bargains!!! Mercury block buy Virgin holidays and discount their catalogue prices. The contact details for them is near the end of the Florida/Orlando sticky thread. Very helpful to me!

Thanks for the tip :) I am looking at school Easter hols. I've got 2 kids and we want to take them with us. I know that's not traditional for a honeymoon, but neither of us can bear to leave them behind!

Our Easter hols are usually different to everyone elses. They break up on the Thursday before Good Friday, then have Easter Monday week and the week after off. Was hoping that might make it a little cheaper too.
