Not a techie so first query is when it asked me whether I wanted to "run" or "save", I chose "run" - was this the right thing to do?
Next query is, I have been using IE and am used to the drop down feature at the top of the page which stored the websites I commonly use. Sometimes I can't remember their www titles until I use the drop down on IE. But with Firefox it seems I have to enter the beginning of the website's name before a list appears e.g. if I want moneysavingexpert, I have to type that in whereas with IE I didn't - if you see what I mean. Is there any way round this?

Along the top bar you should have a Menu item Bookmarks. This should have all your saved favourites. If you want a list at the side of your screen it is via the view menu & sidebar.
And you can also save favourites via the bookmark to either the menu or toolbar (along the top underneath the address window).
Well worth investigating some of the add ons such as NoScript or Adblocker.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0
