I ordered 6 cytisus Brooms from a garden magazine , i got them the other day and they are all not in flower , they look half dead . I have soaked there roots as said on pots and planted them in the garden , they do look abit healthier now in the garden but there is no sign of any flowers coming any time soon. Will they only flower next summer now ? or is there still time left to flower this year ?

It does say plant in march/june and they flower all summer but ive only just planted them so not sure if im to late for this year . They all came in there own individual pots ready to be planted in garden .

do the plants have anything to say they show flower by x I would contact the seller. Also how long ago did you plant them sometimes it can take a while for plants to establish.

I think most Broom flower in early summer onwards so they may still flower .. but the shock of the travelling might put them back so they don't flower this year.. just a case of wait and see I think..

I'd guess that they are busy recovering from travelling and being transplanted. They'll be putting their energies into rooting, and will most likely only flower this year if they have any energy left over. However, by next year, they will be well established and should flower their socks off.
