Presure washer dirtblaster

My Karcher dirt blaster Lance no longer rotates. Can I buy a replacement part for the inside of the nozzle...this is the second nozzle that has given up the ghost, so I now have 2 machines, and two non-functioning nozzles, and do not wish to spend .
I have tried to dismantle and check it out, and it certainly doesn't look complex, but I am at a loss to know which part has actually worn out...the ball bearing looks fine, the plastic grommet looks OK so I'm guessing it's the little rotating thingy, or even that the O ring has compressed too much and puts too much pressure on the ball bearing. Any clues??

Thank you

I know you say you don't want to spend but it's not really worth taking the thing apart for £7.50 + £2.00 postage:

I've had one that's been going strong for several years. The only problem I find is that muck gets blasted back up into the mechanism and gunges it up. I bit of fiddling around with running it under a tap and flushing clean water through it seems to solve the problem. I'm surprised yours is kaput, Karcher usually make pretty reliable kit. But as Mark says, a new one is not particularly expensive, and widely available. Oh, and the majority ( not all ! ) of pressure washers use a standard bayonet fitting, so you don't necessarily need to buy a Karcher part - places like Lidl and Wilkinsons often have "unknown" brands for peanuts that will fit.

there is no such thing as a standard fitting.
ie karcher and bosch use a differing size bayonet. although you can buy adaptors on ebay etc...

beware, the genuine parts are very expensive. ie 25 quid ish.
    Get some gorm.
  • Have had a similar thing happen to me, but can't remember if it was a Karcher or Bosch. It got "stuck" every now and again, and keeping it attached to the machine with the pressure on and giving the head a FIRM thwack against a convienient wall seemend to free it off fine. Often more than one twack was required! I surmised it was a small piece of grit from the block paving sand. Seem to remember if that didn't work, doing the same whilst pulsing the pressure on and off did the trick. Wouldn't even consider replacing it until it finally died though.
Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%

I'd actually been inclined to mail Karscher and explain the situation. I have had them replace a pressure washer with a brand new unit when it failed out of warranty. You may find they simply post you a new lance...
