Being a certain age I find my skin is getting very dry. I have bought various lotions/moisturisers but to be honest they come in fairly small containers dont they and dont last very long when you are doing the whole of your body
I did get a big pot of aquaeous cream but it doesnt seem to actually moisurise very well and having just done a google Ive found out it can actually dry your skin over time:o
So is there any moisturiser that works, comes in a big container and doesnt break the bank please?

Superdrug Vitamin E is quite good, comes in a giant tub and is v. reasonable. I like Boots Botanics Organic body lotion, but its only a 200ml pump which might not be enough for you. Have you though about body oils?0

Have you tried baby oil? I put it on when I'm still slightly damp after a shower.Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

Tubs I like that are very good value - Morrisons own brand, Superdrug Vitamin E
Tubs I like more but are a bit more expensive - Palmers Cocoa Butter, Soap n Glory Ritcheous Butter, Body Shop
Or you could have a go at making your own, theres a sticky at the top of thread with loads of info, I'm giving it a go atm with a night and day facial cream:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -

Jergens moisturisers are also very nice, as are Garnier's

Body Shop body butters go a long way - i've used it for years and can highly recommend it.
I also use sweet almond oil - again, a little goes a long way and is super luxurious and good for you.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -
My mother swears by a layer of Neutrogena Body Oil under a layer of Neutrogena Dermalogical Cream amd Oilatum or E45 bath oil in the bath for her scaly legs and crepey arms. This is not the absolute cheapest solution she's tried but she finds it works for her and stocks up on 3 for 2 promotions.
Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil and Argan Oil are always available in quite large quantities for fairly low prices on eBay. One of the oil sellers might be able to advise you on the best combination for you.0 -
Aquaeous is not really a moisuriser it is recommended more for using in the shower as a body cream wash. I always add baby oil to my bath and then use E45.0

I just looked on Superdrug and the Vit E cream is £2.99/tub or 2 for £3.99

The Superdrug vitamin e range is very good, as in simple almond oil, however do you exfoliate regularly? In middle age myself,
the benefits of exfoliating frequently are dawning on me.
Every other night in the shower, a handful of table salt and a splosh of oil does the job economically and effectively. It removes the dead surface skin and the skin revealed is far fresher and more receptive to moisturiser.0
