Starting as a self employed accountant

Hi there.
Was wondering if anyone can give me some advice.
I am AAT qualified (NVQ4 - Technician) and just finished a full time Accounting and Finance degree (waiting for the result).
I am hoping to study CIMA in september - I will have a few exemptions.
My question is, would I be able to start doing tax returns, book keeping and the financial statements??? Or will I need to finish CIMA or maybe even ACCA? to become a self employed Accountant??? If anyone has any advice please I would be very grateful as I really need to start working from home asap
Many thanks for reading
