I think a good guide is too look at the price you are paying per kg £1.54 for the Whiskas as opposed to £2.31 on the Felix so the Whiskas is better value.

    Yes 2 packs of 24 pouches = 48

  • I think you're wrong loopylu ... as the OP states that you get 4 of the pack size given... I do think this is 2 of the 24 packs.

Looking at orders I've made in the past (for cat food) this is how it's worked.

    I'm confused by this - the link to amazon says "24 pouches (2 pack)" does this mean 2 x 12 packs = 24 or 2 x 24 packs = 48???

    I think each pack is 100g so 48 would= 4.8kg

Taking the £7.40 price and dividing by 4.8 = £1.54 per kg

SO yes it is priced for 48 packs.

we have one cat, he eats 3 a day minimum and to pay £1.10 for someone else to drag it to my house is a bargain! (we have no car).

Does he have any biscuits aswell as the 3 a day!

My cats get given half a sachet in the morning and the other half at night. They also have some purina biscuits a couple of times a day too.
Couldnt afford to feed them 3 sachets a day! I feel like im constantly buying felix boxes as it is!

nope no biscuits, we top it up with raw food like liver etc. if we stop feeding him as much he gets very thin and I feel like a bad pet owner. The vet says it's ok, unless he gets porky, then we must change his diet... age is on his side!

Just seen it two for 5 pound at Sainsburys online whilst doing my shopping. Typical, I shall go and cancel Amazon order now and get it delivered with my shopping.

Still if you just want the cat food the amazon deals not bad with delivery.

The Sainsburys deal is on regular Felix, this is for the slightly more "premium" Felix (As Good As It Looks, Sensations, Country Recipes, Marinades). Generally £3 for a box of 12 of these is a good deal.

We have 2 cats, they both get half a pouch of meat and a smattering of biscuits twice a day.

thanks for the whiskas offer, ordered 5 :)

I have 3 boy cats - one has a weight problem. I tend to feed them 3 times a day and split 2 pouches between them each time. Whiskas and Felix tend to overestimate the amount needed for an 'average cat' - they usually say 3 pouches per day but mine are fine on 2 pouches per day. The advice from my vets is to feed them less than the manufacturers predict as its usually for a very active cat - mine are normal cats who sleep most of the time!

The way the packaging works is that they come in boxes of 12, so "2 pack" relates to 2 boxes of 12. In the picture you can see there are 2 boxes combined by some cardboard over the top. So I think you'll be disappointed, but it's a great bargain if it comes through!
