Dickens and Jones - Richmond

I went to Dickens and Jones in Richmond yesterday looking for an old fashioned men's shaving kit as a Christmas present. I wandered around the cosmetics for a while not finding anything and so I thought I would visit the menswear section.
When I got there only one member of staff was on duty and she was on the phone, I was acknowledged with a smile and politely asked to hold on while she dealt with the call. Once she had finished the member of staff could not have been anymore helpful. She guided me to the relevant displays (not just pointing and grunting like I normally experience), when nothing could be found she spend time helping me to think of other stores where I might find what I was looking for. She was so attentive and helpful that I found myself having to make my excuses as we would have been there all afternoon.
I also asked at the cosmetics counter and while the two members of staff were chatting when I approached them I wasn't snarled at for interrupting their conversation (a la Oxford Street) and they too were apologetic but suggested other places for me to look.
Well done Dickens and Jones, something they're doing with their staff is working well that's for sure. :T
