Any Idea to get discount for Newspaper Ads?

Hi actually i want to put an Credit card size ads in FT, Times, Sun , evening standard , but its costing me about 400 each in the paper...


Is there any possiblities that i can put these ads in the paper without costing me tooo much..

Best thing to do is to let them know you'll run your ad at last minute if they have a cancellation. It is possible to then get up to 50% off that way. They may ask for card details on file though.
The only other way apart from advertising regularly with them is to explain you're on a tight budget. Many papers will work with you.

it often depends on which category ypou are wanting to advertise in, for example, sits vac will cost you more anyway, & they will not budge on price cos they know you need to advertise.

is there any rush with the adverts? my suggestion (an educated one;) ) would be to just vadvertise in one of the pepers initially, because each paper canvasses all the adverts in the others, and will be more likely to "do a deal" to prise you away from spending any more money with a competitor.

Just remember when talking prices with them, that the paper will go out whether your advert is in it or not - It doesn't matter to them if they charge you full price or at 50%.

Having said that - I've only ever dealt with "local" papers - The high-brows may view their advertising space differently.
