so you need a host that can offer ecommerce.
you will need something like opencart along with a dedicated IP and SSL certificate.
contact those i linked earlier and i am sure they will be able to help0 -
I'm using 4 at the moment: Claranet, Evohosting, Heart and 1and1. All have their pros and cons but all are reputable companies that would be acceptable.
It depends what you want eg I run Drupal but 1and1 does not provide enough php memory for it so I'm moving that site; Claranet has a good reputation but is more expensive; Heart and Evo are somewhere in between.0 -
That first one was registered on 21st march and is, apparantly, a non-trading individual. Also the website looks like it's been thrown together in word and converted to HTML.
The second one is owned by the same person as the first. And the website is just as bad.
Why do you recommend these hosting sites????
OP, go with a stable, established service. Whilst 1and1, godaddy, bluehost etc have their pro's and cons, at least they are not 'set up in my spare time type operations' (and are cheaper!!) and come with plenty of extras that help you get your site up and running. This is your business.
Well spotted Mizzbizz. Why are people hiding their details on the who.is if they are a business. It just screams scam company, and going on £5.00 per month  for hosting that really is a shocking amount of money.
Easyhost, perhaps you could explain why you use those? Are you Dave "The registrant is a non-trading individual who has opted to have their address omitted from the WHOIS service"?
If so you are breaking MSE rules by self advertising.
There are plenty of web designers (using the word loosely as some "designers" should not be!) on here but as I said above, MSE prevents self advertising but it does allow us to put links in our profiles.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -
I use evohostnig, they are not the cheapest but havent had any problems with them...unlike One.Com who have a virus on their servers that infect your website...and they don't care!0

not allowed to list my own site0 -
1and1 I avoid like the plague. All my hosting is done via the company that I used to created my website in the first place and I know it is hosted on Heart. My most recent site is created from Buddy Press and I have a shopping cart so that people can pay for events via Paypal. It is easy to use and I can update it at will.
I have tried a few hosts in the past including printing.com who use 123reg but even this was poor.0 -
Had no problems with GoDaddy for years now. Good 24/7 freephone telephone support.0

Well, I use Bluehost and it's super dooper. Works out about £55 for the year (a bit less depending on exchange as it's American) and I've come accross no limitations whatsoever. I've never needed the support as nothing has gone wrong in over two years so far, site has never been down etc etc. WIll be renewing at the end of this year when it expires.I'll have some cheese please, bob.0

I can beat that!
Funnily enough I redesigned a website and the client used bluehost. Spookily enough the server got infected with a virus and she was unable to send emails from her domain website.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0
