Argos Home Delivery and Argos Card

Hi, seems to be a bit of both 'In my house' and 'Credit Card' but I'll put it here anyway. Hope this is OK.
I'd like to by myself:
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?jspStoreDir=argos&catalogId=10001¶ms=adref%3DFurniture+and+furnishings-%3EBeds-%3ESingle+wooden+beds&productId=587680&referredURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.argos.co.uk%2Fwebapp%2Fwcs%2Fstores%2Fservlet%2FProductDisplay%3FstoreId%3D10001%26catalogId%3D10001%26productId%3D587680%26langId%3D-1&keyword=Pine+Single+Sleigh+Bedstead+-+Pillowtop+Mattress.&langId=-1&referrer=FG13P&engine=froogle&storeId=10001
When you add it to your basket, and select the home delivery option, there are three credit options at the bottom, for 9 months, 6 months or 'Normal Credit'.
Would I be right in assuming I'd basically be taking out an Argos Credit Card? If I went for the 9 months option, could I get the card, just pay off £300 / 9 = £34 each month and then cancel it after the 9 months were up? I assume the check for whether or not you can buy the item is done immediately and the order processed immediately. Would there be any 'danger' in doing this, apart from another credit agreement on my file? Has anyone done this and if so is there anything youcould recommend that I might otherwise miss?
Thanks. I really, really like the look of this bed, and whereas I could probably stretch for it now, I would prefer to spread out the payment for it across several months, but without increasing the cost.
Hussein.

i think this is a charge card, according to their website when you apply for the card you can get 9 months interest free.
once you have paid this off you can just cancel the card.
some one please correct me if i am wrong.
HTHNever put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Yes, that's what it seems to be. It's exactly like buying it on an interest-free credit card. The order will go through, and you'll receive a credit agreement to sign (exactly the same as DFS and other places do with their furniture).
You don't actually have to pay monthly (see here: https://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ArgosFSCreditPlanInformationICView?langId=-1&krypto=KuSadKz%2BB7swg20HG%2B%2FmWF61KCu%2Fx%2B9LiVJ8g2%2FZRgeW7Wyi59%2F70q4tg89L2i2KLOFAw85f9kIN%0ACJS71q336TTQ8FwgXEsh); you just have to make absolutely sure that the payment goes through (not just that you send it) before the interest-free period is up. I would suggest that you stick the money into a high-interest bank account (with no penalties for withdrawal), sign up to Martin's reminder email and put several more reminders around the house, and pay the whole sum off a fortnight before it's due.0 -
Thanks. that make sense, and should profit me in the long run (interest earned on the saved money).
Cheers.

I've got an Argos store card and only use it when buying items totalling over £100 as you get interest free credit!:j
I just pay off as much as I can each much ensuring the balance is paid before the interest free period is up.0
