Amazon A-Z glitch

Just be aware that there is potentially a problem with the Amazon A-Z system.

I made the very foolish mistake of buying an expensive book from a newly registered seller who was selling quite a bit cheaper than the others. Book failed to arrive and seller already has a very nasty neg calling him a scammer so I was obviously concerned. Had to wait weeks before the system showed I was able to open an A-Z claim and when i tried it just kept saying I couldn't unless I contacted the seller first, but the system showed all my attempts at contact already.

I emailed Amazon who sent me back an email telling me to do an A-Z claim and giving me an idiot guides to doing one..so assuming i was being silly I followed their way of doing it and again was blocked from opening a claim. I made a formal complaint that despite the system showing i was eligible to make an A-Z claim the system did not allow one to be opened and as this had been going on for weeks I wnated my money back and Amazon have now confirmed they have opened a claim for me. It will however take a further 2 weeks to decide.

So be warned, if you are unfortunate enough to buy from a rogue seller on Amazon you may well be out of pocket for a couple of months...it has put me right off Amazon to be honest and I'm going to try and stick to ebay and paypal in future where i have the opportunity.
