Jet2 seat allocation

Just tried to check in online for a flight in July and notice that the "free" seats I have been allocated are at the very back of the plane on both the outward and return journeys. I am sure I have been given these seats before and they cannot be adjusted and are right by the toilets. I can choose alternative seats if I pay for them, and there are plenty to choose from! Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience with JET2?

if you have not checked in for your flight, then yes - paying for seat allocation will allow you to choose where in the aircraft you wish to sit (subject to availability). However, IIRC, once you have checked in, no further changes are allowed.

As far as reclining, i'm not sure the new Jet2 seats actually recline anywhere in the aircraft.

Or you could not 'take' these seats and try check-in in again today for different seats.

You could always open up another browser whilst these seats are being held for you and check-in on another browser (thus getting another selection)

    Good Luck.

From what i was told, online check in just fills the next available seats in order from the back of the aircraft. Best option (if you haven't checked in yet & decide against paying) is to keep viewing the flights you are booked on as if you were booking the flight again. omce you get so far, it will offer you seat selection, and as more & more people book in online and the seats are filled from the back, the seats will be blocked off and you should be able to tell roughly where the automated seat allocation will put you. Do you have the option of airport check-in?

    Regards

I am told the new jet2 flights don't recline anyway, which is a good thing imo for short flights

That's pretty much how it works, yes :T.

If you've opted for online check-in when booking your flights, it will cost you £17.50 per person to check in at the airport.
