Just checked and the money has been taken also - I would have no problem if they said sorry you can't have the phone at that price and maybe offer a little discount AND NOT CHARGE OUR CARDS. Why do they think they can do this?
(thinking virgin & the gamecube!):j :j0 -
I dont think that anyone has done anything wrong here and anyone who hasnt received their goods can complain.
We went onto a website, placed an order, the website made an offer of things that would be included in that order, we accepted their offer, and they accepted our payment. Thus forming a contract.
Its not like we went into a spermarket and walked out without paying. They offered certain items for a certain consideration and both parties agreed to this!0 -

OR
if I sell it without the sim, will this make a difference? Im not sure if I should change the ebay listing, just in case I get in trouble for selling something thats not as straightforward as it looks.......
Anyone?????0 -
You could say what we have done is not really very moral however websites need to be organised & prepared - to me this is no worse than using a discount code that wasn't meant to be used (we all know everyone on here does). Like I say taking the money is what has made me mad, it makes work for everyone oh and virgin were awful to me last year so I feel no guilt! Not going to bother with complaining though just wait until the next time.:j :j0

I, as well as many others recently took advantage of a number of offers on the Virgin Mobile website. One such offer was available by combining two offers together, a Sony Ericsson T610 mobile phone with £20 airtime and a SIM pack for the total of £29.99. This price seemed like a good deal, so I ordered one for myself and one for a friend.
Both times my card was instantly debited the £29.99. I also received confirmation from Virgin that my phone(s) were 'On the way', and would be delivered by Lynx courier. I also was given a link to check my order status online, and up until this afternoon the status was "Order sent to warehouse".
This afternoon I decided to see if any further progress had been made and was very annoyed to find both my phone orders had been cancelled without warning or any E-Mail cancellation notices. As of 5:30pm I have yet to recieve any e-mails from Virgin Mobile, or indeed a refund.
Now if this was indeed a simple pricing error then I would have been happy just for Virgin to cancel my order and inform me of the error. The fact they have taken my money and decided not to notify me my orders have been cancelled is very annoying, especially considering I was planning to stay at home all day on the date of delivery waiting for a courier delivery.
I can possibly forward the confirmation mails and also a Internet money saving forum link where a number of other people were also tempted by this offer. Please feel free to e-mail me if you require some more information etc.
Thank you,
A rather annoyed Virgin Mobile customer!
Look OK? If I wrote in with that using the online form, someone else could write to them using snail mail and another person could phone them up. Even if we just get an answer from Virgin that will be worth it!0 -
Just spoke to someone, someone hacked into there website last night and combined 2 offers hense the cheap price so they wont be honering them and are refunding, sounds like bullcrap !!
I have been told to write to there legal department0 -
That sounds good Johntea. Send it!0

'Hacked'?!
And I haven't had chance to look, but is there anywhere on the Virgin site that says multiple offers CAN'T be combined?!
Also I will be really annoyed if Virgin knock out the phone with the new offer of £10 to a 'first come first served' basis rather than offering the people who have already attempted to order the one last night first bite of the cherry.0
