i work for a small scaffolding company, i have been there for 4 years now, but i am not qualified as a scaffolder.
my boss has just died, and his wife is trying to run the company... but she hasn't got a clue and is now talking of selling the company, which will leave me jobless.
my question is... what am i entitled to? (money wise)

If you have been there 4 years - if the company is sold intact, then probably nothing but a job; if you are made redundant, 4 weeks notice and four years worh of redundancy pay - approx 4 weeks pay but it vaires depending on your age whilst working for the company. However, it is difficult to be 100% accurate in giving advice based on vittually no information , and about an event that hasn't happened.

im 22, if she sells it to another scaffolding company then i wont have a job because ive got no paperwork saying im qualified..
and if she don't make me redundant then im not entitled to anything? surely i get something??

You'd probably get 2 weeks pay if you're made redundant.

Get qualified as soon as you can so you can convince another employer to take you on - talk to your local college or the Construction Industry Training Board.
