Best fixing option - NPOWER / EDF (all very confusing)
Hello all
I have had a good run with EON, though like many others my fix online 8 tariff is finishing on the 01/07/11. I currently pay £35 p:m for gas and £35 p/m for electricity.
When looking at the price comparisons it appears the best fixes are
NPOWER until July'2012 or EDF until 2014
Either way I am looking at increase of up to £300 per year
What I don't understand is NPOWER unit rates for gas. They have greater (expensive) primary units in the cold months and less in the warmer months. Would I be right in saying this is more expensive than companies that charge a fixed number of primary units per quarter?
It appears on the NPOWER tariff that electricity is £130 cheaper than my current EON tariff and £240 ish more expensive for Gas per year
The whole thing is very confusing.
Any advise or thoughts would be appreciated :-)
Thanks again
