I just bought 2 Bytestor 16Gb Usb sticks and they are horrendously slow in comparison to my Kingston 16Gb.
Some one posted about a usb checker any body got that link?

Done a speed test on these bytestore's and they are about 20% slower than the kinston (3 of them).0

h2testw is one method of testing USB drives.
The official formatter tends to get the best speed out of USB flash drives http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/0 -
