Can't find my JSA booklet - sign on tomorrow

Hello out there, can anyone help me. I am signing on after being made redundant in March. I always keep my signing on booklet in its little plastic wallet with my copy of my CV etc. in a larger plastic wallet. I log my job hunting down in my diary then transfer it to the paperwork in one go (I always use a diary and its easier for me to stick with what works for me). Anyway I have gone to get it to transfer the details from my diary and I CAN'T FIND IT. I only get it out once a fortnight so could have lost it at any time in the past fortnight. I can't even ring them up in the morning because the paperwork is all in that little plastic wallet. I am even starting to think I may have left it there last time I signed on. If I had, would they contact me (I doubt that really) or would it just be waiting for me for next time? Does anyone know what I should do???
I am frantically looking everywhere of course but what if it doesnt turn up? I am so organised normally so I am at a loss at to know where it is!

I'm pretty sure you should be able to sign on without the booklet if you explain it's been misplaced, as long as you have proof of your job search (such as copies of applications etc)Strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government0

Phew, found it! Hubs had put it away by mistake. I had an interview and had to show my passport as ID, so hubs saw the passport in the front of the wallet and put the whole thing into the safe! What relief, I thought I was losing my marbles!!!:hello:  please play nicely children !0

You don't have to use the diary they provide. I type (or copy and paste) everything on my computer and simply print it out and provide that. No need to copy it into the jobcentre diary. All they need is your national insurance number.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Already been answered, I know, but just wanted to add that you definately dont need the books they provide. So long as you provide the information they need in an acceptable format then they cant punish you for not having their books.
If they ever try to just ask under what provision they are seeking to do so.0
