Dog sitting cost?

Thanks for all that info.
This will be an arrangement between two of my friends who don't currently know each other. Basically I'm looking after friend A's dog for just over 2 weeks while they're away, but I'm away for the middle weekend so friend B will have the dog from Thursday to Monday. I'll be doing the handover etc. Friend B is very capable and has met the dog before when I last had her to stay so knows what she's getting in to.... dog is a noisy fiesty toy poodle! My weekend away was known about when the holiday was booked, normally friend A's Mum has her when I can't, but now friend A's Mum is not well enough hence needing to make other arrangement. Friend A doesn't really have anyone else who could have the dog due to her fiesty nature! Although they both know me, the two friends don't know each other hence keeping it business-like. Poodle will be staying in friend B's home for the weekend.0 -
I currently pay £11 a night for my dog and that's in London in the lady's home.
Does anyone know if there is a reciprocal website where you can get to know people with pets in the local area and build a reciprocal dogsitting relationship. If there isn't a site then there should be one.0 -
There is a site ...a lot of them, just Google and they come up, for example:
http://www.swapadog.com/
Personally I could nto do this, I mean swap the favours:
1) Zara is very happy to go to someone's house with other dogs but will NEVER allow any other dog (even the ones she knows for years now) into HER house.
2) I have 6 cats so another dog at home is not an option as not all dogs are cat friendly and would not like to stress my cats.
Right now zara is on "half day daycare" - being picked up at 7.30am just before I go to work and dropped off at 1pm so she is alone at home batweekn 1pm and 5-6 pm. I guess after half day with other dogs/walks etc she is just sleeping her morning off0
