This thread reminds me of when we were considering a house. My friend was going to be out quite late and said she would drive down the street to get an idea what evenings were like there. She rang the next day to say sorry, she couldn't get down coz the police had it taped off, the incident van was just arriving, was hard to hear what the police were saying as the helicopter was searching the nearby woods....0

Google the address and the road for terms like "police were called", murdered, house fire, flooding - and similar things I'd rather not be part of.0

If you googled the small town where I live you'd find it has been the site of two horrific multiple murders, the second only about a year or so ago. You'd also find that the main road past it is a notorious accident blackspot. I'm not sure that would reflect the true nature of the place, though.0
