think I found a genuine wholesaler but...

I have applied for a wholesaler account via website but cannot be fully approved until I can provide them supporting documents through email such as company cheque/business certificate. I'm only selling on ebay so what are these documents and where can I get them?

If you were a legitimate business you'd already have them. It looks as though this wholesaler isn't prepared to deal with individuals, just companies.
Having said that you can set up a company for about £30 if you're serious.
    Can I help?

If you are buying in specifically to sell on you are trading and will need to let the Inland Revenue know as any profit is taxable. A lot of companies are quite strict as they want to be sure that they are not dealing with private individuals. Contact them and say that you are just starting up as a sole trader; they might be content to get a letter heading from you (5 mins work on the computer).
