I think you will struggle to find a rescue that would be prepared to rehome a kitten for Christmas, even if you have the best intentions.
Maybe you could make her a voucher that can be redeemed after Christmas, it's not really kitten season but if you found some young kittens at say 4 weeks old now you could reserve one and then when it is ready to come home (minimum of 8 weeks +) it will be mid January.
Have a look at this link for rescue centres in your area.

thanks, yeah there is no problem with a kitten coming after Christmas - even mid January, and yes I am trying to find a lovely one to reserve and have been quite successfull - seen a few which are all lovely - but thought maybe some of the readers have any available, and thought Id try
thanks

Do you have a Cat's protection near you? They do home visits to assess whether or not it would be a suitable environment so as tigs says you may not be able to organise it between now and Christmas.

i tried to get a kitten 3 weeks ago and i was told there is a shortage everywhere. in the end i had to pay £50 for one, but i have been told this is the going rate now.0

Why not give her something kitten related for Christmas like a new collar or feeding bowl, and a voucher promising you'll look for a kitten in January?
Unfortuantely some people buy kittens and kick them out shortly after Christmas, and I think the idea of taking on someone elses unwanted Christmas kitten is a lovely idea. Here I go again on my own....0 -
hi, yeah i would like an unwanted kitten, and am in a que in the local rspca, but thought some of the readers may be in a sitaution where they cant afford 2 keep another kitten/kittens, etc so thanks anyway0
