Experian score (OMG)
Recently i applied for a car loan from Clydesdale Bank, which was refused .
I asked why and wasnt told anything ,So i went to Experian as i was a member before .I checked my score and its rock bottom (VERY POOR)Regular missed and non payments etc.Which i a complete load of tosh .Since my last check 10 months ago its went from 960 to 560
Since then i have applied for no credit and shows no missed or late payments. In fact i finished a loan in the last 6 weeks
Missed no payments ,i have never had ccj or not payed any bill credit i have had
I always pay my bills
1 How is this even possible
2 Who /where do i start to put this right,
Even my Clydesdale bank has 2000+ in credit for the past 4 years always refused to loan
Any help advice would be most welcome
Thanks in advance

If you send me £5 I will make your score 999.
Too busy to type more but you get the jist? it's a waste of money.0 -
The credit score number itself is worthless. Its just a number made up by CRA's so they have a product to sell to you.
Lenders have their own criteria for lending, each are slightly different and no-one will tell you what you failed on.
The only thing your credit report is good for is to show your past transactions, CCJ's, defaults etc, and from those glean whether your past is inhibiting your future.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Really so it makes no difference to my credit rating ???
Experian, Equifax and Call Credit do not lend money therefore the score they provide could be as they choose. You could be unemployed with no credit accounts and have a excellent score of 999 excellent. Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0 -
The score is a waste of money. What is actually on your credit report is important. So its important that all your credit accounts correctly reflect your repayment history, its important that you are shown on the electoral roll etc. Its relevant if you've had lots of recent searches for credit etc, but the score given to you by a credit reference agency isn't worth paying for.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

1) I don't know. Who has reported missed/non payments? Have you spoken to them?
2) See 1) above.
You really need to think about what you are trying to achieve with your post. With the lack of information given nobody here will be able to help you.0 -

My report score was 960 a few months ago and since then nothing has been late or missed ,so ive no idea why it could have changed ,
I asked the CB why it was refused and they couldnt say why because and i quote
"I dont know why looking at it i cant really see a reason for refusal either "
Thats why i checked experian .Though it shows the lower score its shows no reason for it ,all credit payed on time etc.
I was more looking for advice on who to call about it to rectify it because clearly with the refusal from a bank where my account is always in credit by £2000 its making a difference.0 -
What do you want to rectify?
If its your score thats impossible (and irrelevant) all you can do is look to see if something is incorrect on your credit report. If it is then contact the lender who the credit account belongs to that has the incorrect info.
You may well have been refused credit for something that is not represented on your credit report. Eg it could be based on the bank's assessment on your affordability for the new product you applied for.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Did you have this conversation with anybody who's opinion actually mattered?
If so, did you say "Thanks for that, I look forward to receiving my loan then"?0 -
Perhaps something has been applied for in your name/address without you knowing it? Look at the credit report, not just the scores on the doors, see if everything is in order. I believe you can do it for a one-off fee, and don't have to "join" (which is a screwy concept anyway!)0
