Hello,
We've just moved into our first proper house and now our computer has a room of it's own have been looking for a little portable for our bedroom.
But it seems that you can't get widescreen portables! When I've been looking the choices seems to be either a 4:3 normal TV or an LCD TV.
The prices for LCD TVs seem really high and I have no idea what I'm looking for - some reviews I've read have mentioned picture quality and stuff.
Can anyone help? Have you come across any good quality widescreen LCDs? Are they worth the money?
Thought this would be the best place to ask as you recommended a great printer last Christmas!
Cheers!

i think it depends on how much use it will get. if it is only occasional use do you really need widescreen?
you can pick up 15" portables for £60 that wil do the jobNever put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

Well I thought everything was going to be in widescreen now so thought it could well be pointless buying a normal TV. My old portable still works but it is really tiny and does haven't a a scart thingy so we can't use it anymore anyway - but it must be about 15 years old. Maybe I'm being enthusiastic thinking we would keep this one that long I don't know!
I just didn't want to buy a small portable and then lose half the picture because a film is in widescreen which is what happens on our computer monitor. And if more things are going to be in widescreen it would get more annoying. My plan was to get a little harddrive digibox and a DVD player. I'm expecting our second baby and so there will be lots of early nights!

Why not get a NON HD LCD TV.
As everyone wants a HD tele now, the non HD teles have dramatically fallen in price. You could then stick it on the wall0
