BBC Coverage Sunday night

Did anyone else have problems with all the BBC channels last night. I couldn't get the sound on any of them and the picture kept slowing down and cutting out as well. Gave up on BBC. I see it is back to normal this morning though.

Actually, we had that a couple of times over the weekend, not being able to get the volume to work. Maybe they were updating something or just had 'technical difficulties'?

I know that some changes to BBC's HD channels (BBC HD & BBC1 HD) were to be changed from this morning.

They were changing the modulation from DVB-S to DVB-S2.

This was only supposed to affect Freesat Viewers, but who knows what went on.

Yes, the Freesat HD Channels on 108 and 109 have changed their transmission specs and some televisions and Freesat boxes will not adapt automatically.

I had this problem this morning - 108 and 109 had a No Signal error on my Panasonic Freesat TV.

I tried an update rescan and this did not solve the problem.

Eventually, I did a complete "Factory Settings" reset, which restarts the television as if it was brand new, and this did the trick.

I just thought some people may have a similar problem and not think of a Factory Reset.

Thanks to all the replies - all seems to be in working order now. I don't seem to have lost any channels although annoyingly some programmes I had put down for recording did not record.

We called our TV dealer after being unable to retune our Panasonic - we assumed that we had the "old" software despite the TV being only 2 years old.
They told us about the factory reset - not a retune. This is actually on page 2 of the setup menu and called Shipping Condition - it resets the whole TV back to scratch but is straightforward to sort out, although terrifying as it keeps asking "do you really want to do this?" You turn the set off and it is blank box. We put in our post code and bob's your uncle.... all back as normal.
Would have been nice to get a message, somehow, from someone to avoid our angst. I can only imagine how many people are now believing that they don't have the technology and maybe even buy a new box.
    Hope this helps!
