Setting up charity - international money transfers.. getting the money where its need

I'm in the process of setting up a new charity for some work a friend is involved in Zambia, and am wondering if anyone can provide any advice on how as a small UK charity we would get money across to Zambia to be spent?

Specifically, we would be setting up a UK bank account, but at present the best way to get the money across would be by international transfer to a personal account held in Zambia, but pretty sure this could be problematic with regards transparency of finances..?

Would the best option be to set up an account in Zambia as well?

(Also for a bonus ;) .. does anyone know the best account offering for international transfers?)

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer
:)
