Poor little dogs.

Such sad, short lives and the really sad thing? Being PTS is probably one of the better things that happened to them as their futures are so bleak.

Poor wee mites. It just breaks my heart all the homeless animals out there - most through no fault of their own.

I don't know what the answer is .... there are always going to be people out there trying to make a quick buck by having pups to sell and always people who buy them (many as the rescue centres won't rehome to them) .... registration wouldn't work as the good owners would do it but the bad ones wouldn't bother .... even making a legal age limit wouldn't help as the chavs would still "qualify" to own one ..... it's just so sad.

Most of regulars on here will know that I could not get a rescue dog (or cat) for that matter and got all my 6 cats and a dog from one kind of Gumtree or another whcih I was not happy with but REALLY wanted them so got them anyway...

And all my lot have been neutered, to break the cycle really, very early too - to avoid any "accidents".

Wish some people wopuld think of doing the same before letting their dog/cat have "just one litter".

Hetmar, really admire you for your involvement, I could not do this - I would simply tottaly break down.

OMG how to make me cry at work.

I can't bear to think of those poor dogs, so unhappy and unloved. It's time for some kind of licencing for breeders and owners I think, perhaps that might help to stop the over-breeding of dogs?
