Waterproof, Durable Compact Camera Required

Hello all,
Fed up of taking mediocre photographs on my iPhone and risking breaking it in certain conditions I take photos. I kayak and am going to holiday in Egypt this year and would like to do some snorkeling and get some good shots.
I need a waterproof, durable and compact camera, I want it to take good pictures in the water and in tough conditions, but would also be able to use it for normal surroundings.
Not keen on spending more than £200 but if a much superior product was only a few quid more I would spend it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
George!!!

I wouldn't recommend the Fuji Finepix XP10 or the XP30 (if you were considering them). Have you considered a waterproof case if you already have a camera? Something like the following: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dicapac-Waterproof-Olympus-Compact-Digital/dp/B001C20816/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1307350072&sr=8-4 and http://www.amazon.co.uk/OverBoard-Waterproof-Digital-Camera-Case/dp/B003D4L40K/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
Usually, waterproof cases are expensive and I've seen them sell for up to 50% of the cameras cost, the cases above seem to be good at a reasonable price.0 -
Hi,
Thankyou for your reply can I ask why you wouldn't recommend the Xp30, as it was one I was considering. In regard to the case I don't actually have a camera to begin with, and therefore would like to buy one that is waterproof and strong. Can you suggest any decent models?
Thankyou0 -
does anyone have any feedback on:
