Is my pillowcase making my wrinkles worse?

I have silk pillowcases, and I don't know yet if its doing anything for my wrinkles (I'm 4cough, lol!) but it is doing wonders for my hair! It no longer takes me 10mins and a considerable amount of pain each morning to brush out. I got mine from Patra, hth.
This!
This is the reason I want to try a silk pillow, can't afford one but do embarassingly have a textile degree (why embarassing? because I got the degree years ago, have wanted a silk pillow for years AND years! Am so lazy!!)
Just a question to those that have one, do you not find it makes your head warmer?0 -
Just had a peep at silkskin website. It describes their pillowcases as 100% silk and that's it. Nowhere does it state the 'momme' and very expensive.
I purchased my pillowcases ( and complete bedding) on eBay from China and they were very reasonable in price about 4 years ago. My mum also got me some from Patra too.
Very easy to wash @30C in machine and dries very quickly. But you must never put silk outside as the sun destroys the silk.
I haven't found they made my head warmer. They are lovely to sleep on but I have noticed no difference in keeping wrinkles nor keeping my frizzy hair at bay more so than cotton. However I use 600tc cotton from duvetpillowwarehouse which have gone very expensive.

Yes they do silk too but even £48 for two is expensive. Try eBay.

I haven't found that they are warmer either. I wouldn't be without mine now. By the way, I've got very thick shoulder length hair, so that may be why!Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -

The eBay ones I've just used as an example are 16 momme ( like mine) and considering you get two for half the price of the Jasmine ( 19 momme) I would go with eBay.
I've also purchased a single duvet from that seller for my son and it's excellent.
As an aside my mum purchased a silk duvet from Patra with the silk cover and the cover is all ripped, so if anyone is interested in buying a silk duvet ( they are fab) I would go for one with a cotton lining.
Here's Jasminesilk on eBay:

Edit: Heavens this has got me looking on eBay now.
Great buy:

Another edit: I've tried the Tenestar recommended for washing silk and Woolite is just as good and loads cheaper.0 -
A website offering to sell you something tells you it will help stop wrinkles.... hmm. Sorry, this is such cobblers - if you sleep on that side your face will be a bit more weathered, regardless of what material you sleep on!
I used to sleep on my back to avoid chest wrinkles until I woke up one day and thought someone had stolen my boobs. Turns out they were hiding in my armpits. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
