Mint.com UK or Alternatives...

Having looked into online budget planners and the like I cannot find anything really like I had in mind other than MINT.com, which is not available in the UK. Anyone know when it might be available here, or even better have some alternatives?

I have also been looking around for a good money management tool, nothing in the UK seems to compare to mint.com at the moment :-)0

Try ANZ MoneyManager, it links to UK Banks etc. for transactions and balances (but not to make payments or transfers). Best of all there is the Financial Calendar for budgeting.
Start at the main ANZ site and then on to MoneyManager, you don't need to bank with ANZ to use it.
I have been using it for over 9 months now......:j0 -
Does it work with metro bank in the UK?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

That's handy to know - I assume it lets you access other Australian banks as well? It would be far more convenient to have my UK and Australian accounts linked to the same program.0 -
ANZ Money Manager looks quite good, yes, it supports Metro Bank.0

Is it just me or would anyone else be a little concerned about giving this application your bank logon details?0 -
Just been trying to add my Metro bank account but it keeps telling me my username or password is wrong - in spite of using exactly the same credentials I use to access my Metro Bank online account details. Looks like a non-starter to me.
I'm not suggesting the fault lies with ANZ - probably that Metro bank isn't playing ball. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I'm concerned enough making sure the website is secure and the certificate is verified before entering them now, I definitely wouldn't enter them into an application that hasn't been recommended by my bank.
Plus, how does it work when your bank uses card reader, or requires you to select characters 4, 7 & 9 from your memorable name?0 -

I personally use Money Dashboard. You can categorise your income/outgoings and plan against a budget which I find useful. Also link your credit cards up too.
To answer your question Gromitt. I use Barclays, and there's an alternative login to PIN sentry that I can use if I just want to view my accounts.
These services (Mint, MoneyDashboard etc.) use this 'read only' authentication to hook up to your account. Your bank should be able to provide you with it.
In short, it seems safe because they can never perform any transactions on your account. However, you are giving them read access to all of your accounts.0 -

If you NEED a card reader to get into your account (like HSBC) then the program autofills in the rest, and a screen pops up for you to enter the code at the relevant stage.
You tell the program your memorable name and it works out what characters it needs itself.0
