Mid Wales for one night

I have to take my 12 year old daughter and her friend to Mid Wales next Sunday for the day. The place they are going to is between LLandridnod Wells and Newtown.
I am thinking of travelling up and staying overnight on Saturday 12th June.
Can anyone reccomend a place for us to stay. Think a family room would be awkward as we are taking the friend and most cottages I have looked at won't do just one night.
