Gas Extraction

Hello all, I am in the process of looking at changing my kitchen. The only point I am not sure about is does the gas cooker/hob have to be situated on an outside wall for extraction/ventilation purposes or are there ways around it? I would like it on a non outside wall - would this be possible? Thanks

You can have your gas cooker/hob anywhere you like as long as you can connect to the gas supply - you might have to extend the supply pipe. As far as extraction goes, normally it would be done by an electric fan extractor above the hob, which would either be vented to an outside wall (I think 3 meters away would be the limit), or used in recirculation mode to clean the air.0

Thank you very much for clearing that up. Cheers!0

There's quite a range of low profile ducting available with rectangular cross sections to allow you to conceal the run above cupboards etc.0

A gas hob can be fitted where you like, but the kitchen MUST have an opening window or door direct to outside and be of a minimum size.0
